  （一）今日主角词“Position”，考研出现次数13次

  （n）位置，职位，职务；姿势，姿态；见解，立场

  （n）位置，职位，职务

  E.g.: The decision to quit a senior position to look for a better one is unconventional.

  参考翻译：为了寻找一个更好的职位而辞去高管的职位并不符合传统。(2011 Text2)

  （二）主角词延伸词

  (1) opposition：（n）反对，敌对；反对派，在野党

  E.g.:Washington, who had begun to believe that all men were created equal after observing the bravery of the black soldiers during the Revolutionary War, overcame the strong opposition of his relatives to grant his slaves their freedom in his will. Only a decade earlier, such an act would have required legislative approval in Virginia.

  参考翻译：华盛顿目睹了解放战争中黑人士兵的勇敢后，开始相信人人生而平等，他不顾亲人的强烈反对，在遗嘱中赋予他的奴隶自由。而在那之前的十年的弗吉尼亚州，这种行为的实施会被要求得到法律上的批准。（2008 Text4）

  (2) proposition：（n）命题，提讧；主题，讧题（v）向……提讧

  E.g.: This, though it fulfills the laws and requirements of Futurist poetry, can hardly be classedas Literature. All the same, no thinking man can refuse to accept their first proposition: that a great change in our emotional life calls for a change of expression. The whole question is really this: have we essentially changed?

  参考翻译：尽管这种写法符合未来派诗歌的规则和要求，但是却很难被归入文学之列。同样，任何一个有思想的人都不会拒绝接受他们的基本主张：情感生活的巨大变化要求表达方式也随之变化。但实际问题是：我们发生了根本的变化吗？（2000 Text3）

  (3) composition：（n）作文；作曲；极成，合成物

  E.g.: For my part, I have no idea whether Gilbert is a great conductor or even a good one. To be sure, he performs an impressive variety of interesting compositions, but it is not necessary for me to visit Avery Fisher Hall, or anywhere else, to hear interesting orchestral music.

  (4) disposition：（n）性情；倾向；处置；部署

  E.g.:While it is easy to ignore in our contact with them the effect of our acts upon their disposition, it is not so easy as in dealing with adults.

  参考翻译：虽然在与年轻人的接触中我们容易忽视自己的行为对他们性情所产生的影响，然而在与成年人打交道时这种情况就不那么容易发生。（2009 翻译）
