沉积地质学课题组
本课题组主要从事沉积学、沉积地质学、沉积地球化学研究。主要的研究兴趣是碎屑沉积物源分析及其在沉积大地构造研究中的应用;多指标重建沉积盆地的古气候和古环境演变历史。利用沉积学、地层学、沉积岩石学、沉积物地球化学(包括元素和同位素地球化学)、碎屑单矿物的地球化学、年代学和热年代学等技术手段,从单矿物颗粒的微观尺度到盆地范围的宏观尺度,重点关注碎屑沉积物质在从源到汇过程中,如何受源区母岩、沉积大地构造背景、化学风化作用、(古)气候演化甚至近-现代人类活动等多因素不同时空尺度的影响和控制,解决相关的关键科学问题。研究样品既有来自古老的海相、陆相沉积盆地的沉积岩,也有来自现代河流及边缘海的沉积物。同时,本课题组也关注碳酸盐岩沉积、成岩作用、地球化学等方面的研究,并涉及与碎屑岩、碳酸盐岩有关的油气地质等应用研究。
欢迎有志于上述研究的学生及青年学者到厦门大学海洋与地球学院来学习、交流和工作。本课题组常年欢迎本科生、研究生、博士后等不同阶段的研究人员加盟。
Sedimentary Geology Group at Xiamen University
Dr. Xing Jian leads his research group in Sedimentary Geology and Sedimentary Geochemistry Studies at Xiamen University. The research interests of this group mainly include sedimentary provenance analysis and its applications in tectonics, and reconstructing paleoclimate and paleoenvironment by multi-index based on sediment samples. Major methods include field-based sedimentology, stratigraphy, sedimentary petrology, sedimentary geochemistry (including elemental and isotopic geochemistry) as well as chemistry, geochronology and thermochronology of detrital minerals. They mainly use grain-scale to basin-scale techniques to study how parent-rocks, tectonic background, chemical weathering and climatic change even modern human activities influence the sediment composition during the sediment source to sink process. Their study areas include oceanic and continental sedimentary basins in Tibet plateau and rivers and marginal seas in East Asia. Furthermore, they are also interested in sedimentology, diagenesis and geochemistry of carbonate sediments and carbonate rocks, and are involved in both detrital and carbonate rock-related hydrocarbon reservoir sedimentology and characterization study.
