  疟疾仍然是全球最严重的传染性疾病之一,每年导致上亿的感染病例和上百万的死亡病例。疟疾疫苗的缺乏和疟疾寄生虫抗药株系的产生和传播为疟疾的全球防控带来巨大的挑战。本课题组的研究集中在两个部分:1. 以疟疾寄生虫恶性疟原虫为模型,研究抗药的分子和细胞机制;2. 以鼠疟寄生虫为模型,研究在寄生虫侵染宿主过程中,寄生虫因子与宿主因子及其互作.


  Malaria remain one of most serious public health thread in the world, causing billions infection cases and millions death cases annually. Because of the lack of the effective vaccine and quick evolving and spreading globally of drug resistant parasite strains, we face the challenge for preventing and controlling malaria globally. Research in our group focus one two area: 1. Identify and characterize the genetic determinants conferring drug resistance in human malaria parasite, study the molecular and cellular mechanism regulating the drug resistance; 2. Based on the mouse malaria parasite model, investigate the signal pathway involved in the hepatocyte invasion and development of parasite sporozoite, we are particularly interested in identifying the host factors and their interaction with parasite factors during the parasite invasion and development in the host cell.
