主要研究领域:
张杰博士长期从事老年痴呆症(Alzheimer’s Disease, AD)的细胞与分子致病机理研究,主要从细胞周期紊乱调控和氧化应激的角度研究AD致病过程中神经元的凋亡机理。成熟神经元处于细胞周期静止期,生理状态下不会再分裂。而在AD中,大量神经元的细胞周期被重新激活,并最终诱导了神经元的凋亡。这是目前关于AD致病过程中发现最早的细胞功能紊乱。张杰教授课题组通过多年系统地工作研究发现:细胞周期蛋白激酶CDK5对于抑制AD中神经元细胞周期重新激活和延缓AD中神经元凋亡具有重要的作用。至今以第一作者或者通讯作者在国际知名期刊发表研究论文16篇。SCI他引500多次,H-index为15。其中回国独立开展研究工作以后,张杰教授作为通讯作者在PNAS(2014), The Journal of Neuroscience(2015), JBC(2012), Clinical Cancer Research(2015),Chemistry(2014),Chem. Biol. Drug Des. (2013)等杂志上发表多篇研究论文。以上研究成果被众多媒体所报道,同时受邀在多个国际会议上做学术报告。这些研究结果对于阐明AD的细胞与分子致病机制、发现AD 治疗靶标并开发新型治疗药物具有十分重要的意义。
实验室目前主要的研究方向为细胞周期调控与疾病发生。以神经推行性疾病、胃癌、肝癌等细胞周期进程中关键激酶为靶点,研究在疾病发生过程中细胞周期被重新激活的分子机制,并结合计算机模拟,小分子药物筛选等进行预防和治疗老年痴呆、恶性肿瘤等的药物开发研究。
